The Club operates a crew register scheme for all keelboat racing. The register will be two way, matching owners looking for crew and crew looking to sail.

The Register is open to members and non-members, the latter in the hope that they will find permanent positions on boats and join the Club, so please tell anybody who you know is interested in getting sailing about the crew register. No experience is required, as most owners are willing to train a novice; just a little dedication and a willingness to learn.

You should only provide details such as telephone numbers and email addresses which you are happy to be emailed to others and placed on the notice board and web site. For example if you do not wish to be disturbed at work you should not provide a work telephone number.

Applicants should be aware that the RYYC does all in its power to ensure that members' boats comply with its safety regulations. It does not guarantee the seaworthiness of yachts or the competence of crews or skippers. Sailing can be a dangerous sport and applicants should also make their own insurance arrangements as they deem necessary.
